Op.46 no.6 in D major - Allegretto scherzando

That song is probably one of the most beautiful song I have ever heard, I don't know why but this song has a particular pull towards me...

Here take a listen.

Composer Dvorak; Conductor: Szell - Cleveland Orch

I first heard this song in a the Stardust movie and then heard it on Pandora again a bit afterward. I can't get enough of that song for a while.

It reminds me somewhat of a movie where two people meet at a ball, and they instantly strike it off. As the night draws to an end, the two keeps thinking of each other (the various section of the orchestra splits the repeated quarter notes). The guy keeps on thinking back about the ball while the girl thinks ahead (the flute/piccolo solo during the repeat of the theme). The two then gets together at another one of those waltz and this time, the guy's ex interrupts (the brass repeat of the theme), that's why the violin waltz theme sounds sad near the end... the girl also ponders about his loyalty. Then after some conflict, various people intervene and the two slowly gets together. But throughout this time, the girl has doubts (the sad oboe solo...). The final repeat of the theme meant that they finally got back together. The final build-up meant the kiss... and the happily ever after.

My imagination runs wild...
