I don't think I can stop talking about the Olympics, after all, it is only once every four years.
So now, we're more than halfway through the Olympics of 2008, and the medals are pouring in by the dozens daily. Still some care more about the number of medals rather than the glitter: gold or numbers? That is the question.
Ever since Beijing was chosen for the host city, China wanted to be the leader in the gold medal count. One Chinese official was even quoted as saying:
"second place is for losers".The Americans? Well, they chose medals over anything. To be top three in the entire world is a great enough accomplishment to be counted and celebrated.
So which is better? Gold or numbers?
