It's Google's birthday and who couldn't be happier for them than the whole world? Think of all the times when Google saved your butt when you didn't do your homework, think of all the time when Google saved your projects when you emailed them to yourself using Gmail, think of the time you spend reading this blog hosted by Google.
Google is the god of the internet.
An investigation into the time line of Google revealed a few things:
- Google was called "Backrub" with a disturbing picture as there logo...
- The big G's first few homepages looks pretty ugly compared to today's neat page.
- The first snack we ordered for our office, other than beverages, was Swedish Fish.
- MentaPlex is hilarious! (and so is most Google's April Fool's jokes )
- Trends of year 2000: 1. Napster 2. Britney Spears
- Trends of year 2003: 1. Britney Spears
- Trends of year 2004: 1. Britney Spears (I guess she just liked to get "hit" one more time. Get it?)
- Trends of year 2007: 2. Badoo (I guess people can't spell Baidu...)
