Announcements Roundup

1. Firefox, the world's best browser, is coming out with its latest version on Tuesday, the 17th. Remember, they are trying to break a world record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours, so get your mouse ready!

To see an overview of FF3's awesome features, check this video out.

2. Battlefield Heroes - Everybody knows about the Battlefield game franchise, some being good and some just horrible. But did you know that EA Games is coming out with a free version of Battlefield? Here's the quote from the website:
  • Battlefield Heroes™ is a brand new Play 4 Free game from the people that brought you the multi-million selling Battlefield 1942™ and Battlefield 2™
  • It's a fun cartoon-style shooter which caters to players of all skill levels – easy to pick up and play, but with deep character development
  • It will be released for the PC as a free download in Summer 2008
Here's the trailer for the game... I think it's pretty tight.

3. Iron Sky - I'm really not sure what this is, but take a look at this. Apparently, the internet-only (?) movie will be made by the producers of Star Wreak (which I never heard off, but it is supposedly the most popular internet feature film...). The trailer looks really cool and I love the script: In 1945, the Nazis landed on the moon. In 2018, they are coming back...
