Bad day...

Today, I had a little incident happen today...

So I had band practice in the afternoons today from 3-5, meaning that I have to leave my house around 2:30 no matter what type of transportation I use (namely cars and bike). Unfortunately, I couldn't find a ride before I left today, but I rode my bike to my school yesterday, proving that I could do it in some 18 minutes.

So I had the great idea of riding my bike today - it is a good idea... just not today.

Somehow, the stars aligned wrongly/I was just stupid. It was barely raining when I left my house, a mere drizzle. I thought I could go through this rain with a water-proof jacket and pants.

After a few minutes of going, the heavens opened. It poured... not just poured, poured with such intensity unknown to men. In short, I got soaked. The problem is also that the ground was also a bit wet from a pour in the morning so when it started to rain again, the grounds started to rise. That means that every time I pass through a low point, water started to spray up ferociously. Translation: my feet and socks got amazingly wet.

And those "water-proof jacket and pants?" Turned out, they're just illusions. Both my t-shirt and pants got soaked.

And now the kicker that made my day. While riding the bike into my high school, there were a few pretty big bumps. Now, me being the smart cookie that I am, went over them as fast as I can. The first one went over okay but the second one... *sigh*. The second one got me.

My bike is quite old and one of the screws in the front wheels apparently was loose. When I went over the huge bump, I think my bolt that held the front wheel got loose and dislodged. My front wheels then logically dropped off.

I flipped... well not exactly, but you get the idea when you're going full speed and your front wheels suddenly just fell off.

And as you can see... I survived with no life-threatening scar/injury.

In some ways I love this world, in some ways, I despise this world.
