Playing On One Buttocks

So summer. The epitome of boredom. What do I do when I get bored? I turn on the radio. Recently, WFSQ, our classical NPR channel, has been the top station that I've been listening to. That means all sorts of goodies and not so good goodies (*cough* baroque (which reminds me of the word brusque, meaning rudely abrupt...)*cough*).

Amazingly, I've never posted this marvelous video by Benjamin Zander (which has excellent Mahler recordings...) from Ted's. Its a tad long, but well worth it:

The man was correct. I can tell when there's the pulse there now from the WFSQ radio. Still the hard part is to actually do it myself, to play without pulse, in one phrase. This is why musicians practice hours per day.

While some practice daily and still never reach stardom, while others are put there without any deserving thing. Recently, a kind husband made a website for his wife, and boy can she sing. Go to the website to hear her...
